At the beginning of my research I have come cross a different genres of music and I have noticed that more Pop/Rock music videos like to combine narrative and performance in there music videos. Although I have a preference this as it has more to proffer to the audience in understanding what the narrative and the music is about. I researched Pop/Rock artists, “Kelly Clarkson” and “Avril lavigne” and have decided to do my music video on Pop/Rock genre. I noticed that narrative/performance is a solution convention in Pop/Rock music videos and I will do this in my own music video, Furthermore I want my music video to be faintly more narrative as I prefer narrative based storylines as they usually make sense to the lyrics and are more interesting than watching just performance which I noticed is very ordinary together with “Pop” genre music. Consequently I wish to combine performance and narrative together in my music video I have decided to do the song “Anything But ordinary” by Artist Avril Lavigne.

Chosen characters and song
At the begining of my animated music video. It consists of my storyboard images played in sequence with the soundtrack over the visuals. This gives a feel and a rough image of how I want my music video to look. Although I continued animating different sections of the storyline. Rather than animating the scenes in order, I chose to just pick particular scenes I wanted finish first. Once these were finished I would begin layering them over the top of the Animatic. This way it makes it easier to edit and I can see what needs to go where and how long each shot should be.

Inspiration
Today while I was in class I watched 1 or 2 of videos from preceding years and one of the ideas I liked was from one video where they filmed a rise flowering. This means that I wanted to do the idea that I have seen on the music video that I have watch in the class. Also I watched a lot of videos on YouTube that some student that from preceding year put it on YouTube. So seen that I wanted to do with sadness; one of the videos I found was of emotional for the film Anything but not here.
Although I Have Looked at different music videos which help me to get an idea about how I am going to do my own music videos about the camera shot's that i will use also the sound effect and the anamation style.

Music Video Conventions Depending on Genre
During in the lesson i have done a research about the different music video convenstions and the genre of music as i have make my point view in blow.
Pop: videos are more often than not extremely positive, intense and high-speed swiftness which makes them attractive to a youthful audience. This means that if the lyrics and the rhythm of the music are sadder the entire tenor of the video will be brought downwards but it will still be fairly intense and the artist would almost certainly be in a more urbane outfit than if the video is more optimistic.
Ø Intense and colourful locations and illumination.
Ø The camera pans and zooms to catch the movement and feeling of the artist.
Ø Close ups of the artist are used to show the happy feelings.
Ø Artist or band performs in some way usually by actually lip syncing the words of the song.
Ø Although there is routinely a dance series which exemplifies some of the lines.
Ø There are not more often than not any tools currents not many pop or rock bands in fact play their own tools.
Ø There are often many costume changes throughout the video.
Rock: the illumination and the location are frequently extremely dark charitable the music video a strange and on edge tenor.
Ø The bands are regularly performs in their music video. Although their concerts are frequently extremely dark and the artists are regularly dressed in black, with manifold and dark make up on their faces adding to the stereotypical Rock/Metal look.
Ø Sometimes there is a narrative which will reproduce the dark sad tenor of the music and the lyrics.
Ø There is a range of close ups that also shows the main artist singing and other band mates the stage as well as wide shots of the entire band.
Ø They also use Special effects those used sometimes.
Ø The main thing that use their videos is that the editing which is the speedy rated the shiny the difficult and the noisy and quick music
R&B: there are frequently a mixture of narrative and concerts and the entire band carry outs and previous times just the major singer. This means that the R&B music videos do have a narrative they are a lot quite representative and do not factually go after the words.
Ø There is a range of close ups to show the major artist singing and other band mates performing as well as wide shots of the whole band.
Ø The colour that used in the video changes this means that it depending on the words of the song and the rhythm of the music it can be intense, dark and sometimes black and white.
Ø Those are used a special effects.
Ø They also used a editing usually fairly fast paced depending on the tune.
Ø There is band wears informal clothes.
Hip Hop: there are for no reason actually a sturdy storyline in Hip Hop videos this means that it is more about a huge social gathering with attractive women in insufficient outfits and lots of high-priced things such as devices. Although the colours that used in the videos are frequently quite intense this regularly highlighting all of the high-priced things like jewellery and brand named clothing.
Ø As the location is regularly a social gathering there are often lots of people dancing and regularly current.
Ø They also use a close ups which shows the artists possessions like high-priced jewellery and also to show their singing the lyrics.
Ø There are mostly wide and long shots are also used so that we can see a lot of expensive things.

Planning
Once I had come to make a decision on some of my filming locations I needed to Production schedule revised a filming schedule which en suite around my entire book notes. However I sat as one and decided on when I could film each scene, also who would need to be present for each shot. I also decided to film over the weekends. but acually i haven't decided when the date will be but im sure it will be from the 13th April 2011 to the 22th April 2011.
I then go on to diagram an editing schedule. As I agreed to edit the film in my spare time and I had to have the editing finished by the end of the 2010 so that I could focus on the other products, the digi-pack and the cover magazine also the website. For the 2 other products that I needed to produce, I decided to split a time for my self to finish creating my work on the digi-pack and the cover.
Although I made sure that I had a photographer in each pair person who is in my music video as the digital image stage management. Planning for this involved working individual as my research on my blogs and then coming up with an idea for the digi-pack which fitted the individual’s image and genre. I asked my friends to produce a series of images that I could be used on the digi-pack boards; as well I then asked them to email these to me so that I could edit these in Photoshop and bring together the digi-pack. Also I was in charge of the cover magazine to total an alike procedure.
Brief
The A2 Media project I am required to complete one of the following three briefs:
B) Create a promotion package for a new film, including a teaser trailer, with two of the following options:
- a website homepage for the film;
- a film magazine front cover, featuring the film;
- a poster promoting the film.
C) Create the first level of a new computer game, together with two of the following options:
- a cover for the game's package;
- a magazine advertisement for the game ;
- a radio advertisement for the game.

C) Create the first level of a new computer game, together with two of the following options:

- a radio advertisement for the game.
I have decided that I would complete brief (A) ... a promotion package for the release of an album. Because I have choose that to create a website homepage for my music video, and an front cover for the release of the digi-pak, certain with my website making skills, and my creative skills of making a cover magazine as I have done my As level Media last year and creating the website which I have done it my As level ICT last year which I have created 2 different websites. So I am more familiar most of the task I have been asked to do.
I have also made sure that the best way to move towards the task I have been asked to do was to have as much as a participation in the original flank, as well as the technological sensible flank, adding my own thoughts and skills to each process during the in general making. My first task is to do as much research into the music video industry, so I have looked different ideas, styles and genres, which allowing me to found what type of music video I would like to produce. By thoroughly researching and searching the ideas of music videos and the websites also the covers of digi-packs, as all this will allow me to produce products relation to nowadays the public.
Location
For my music video I have considered many different possibilities and settings in locations. Getting the right location is very important because it will allow the video and the song to connect. Music videos are also used to market the artists and increase the whole general sales. However music videos are also used to connect with the audience. They are also used to get the audience close and more connected with more fans.
A location can be considered in many different ways and aspects. Social if is it the right location for the video this location will help improve the children music target market. The location of the music video shoot is going to be set at inside of college, since I can a up to date interior, which is relevant for the mise-en-scene.
This is a photo is of the curator of the college and the setting would be very good because it would allow the directors to control and minutiae all the environmental setting s like the weather light and even the sound.
cover Magazine
My cover magazine characteristic in lucky magazine, because this magazine promotes bands of the same genre as "Future History." However the following genres include; Pop Rock, etc. NME is also a well known music magazine; therefore it would make sense for my magazine advert to appear in here.
This is my final version of my magazine cover. I decided to use the pose of “sweet rush “smiling on the camera because it connotes the idea of them being tired from being on the excursion although, in the bottom corner I have used the "Let it go records" again with the black symbol to promote the record label, since the idea of a cover magazine is middle around promoting the artist alongside the record company.
Whereas the front cover that I have design before was different than the original one because the grey background stands out more as it contrasts against the black mise en scene. Furthermore, I decided on using this photo of mine opposite to the one of them squatting because this looks more professional; with as I was standing like this and also I was posture is striking as it takes up a majority of the front cover. My facial expression also looks lost conveying the theme of my song "Anything But Ordinary", alongside of the grey and black background love and passion which is suggestive of my genres character red text attract to the teenagers.
I also decided to use a red outline alongside the lettering of "Future History" to continue the running theme of red, and then I have decided to use a boarder as it looked good on it. Although I have decided to not have the building in detail as the mise en scene, because the plain black makes the feature of the grey background and my image stand out more strongly.
Genre & Target Audience
The genre of my chosen song is a combination of developed Pop and Rock. I have chosen this style because of my music video attracts to relatively a sizeable figure of teenagers, which is appropriate the message in the music video can be understood by a huge majority of young people. Although it’s most excellent if a lot more teenagers are attracted to the song itself, so that’s the reason why they watch the video.
Although my target audience is mainly teenagers this shows that my character and opponents are all teenagers. So in my opinion I think that my target audience will be able to narrate to the move violently of the teenagers shown in the music video, because it contracts with the search for a self as well as with the amusing of stereotypical teen sorrow.
The audience I am appealing to be is 15+ cinema audience. Although I think my music film will appeal to teenagers above the age of fifteen because it involves the music, mystery and characters close to their age which they can relate to. I also feel that my most prominent audience will be girls of this age and above, my reason for thinking this is that most male girls of 15-25 enjoy mystery and sad stories more than males of the same age.
Evaluation cover magazine
When making my cover magazine I made sure that I used the conventions of many classic cover magazines, of which I have been researching. Such as, having a logo for my cover magazine, this is situated in the top left hand corner. This is very typical of any cover magazine. However I have used puffs around the front page to tell the reader what’s included in my magazine. The barcode I have included in place in the established right hand corner. Here is my finishing product. My cover narrates to the magazines that I have been learning because it has ordinary conventions.
Although it has a logo that most magazines have. This helps the audiences to recognize the cover magazines on the information stands. When a cover magazine has become really capable of being recognized, the plan could change by having the main images partly cover the logo. There were a few magazines that I analysed which had this, although there were some that didn’t and predictably they were the ones that most people in my class had not come across before.
My cover magazine hasn’t got this as it is supposed to be a new classic cover magazine, so defying recognition. My cover magazine also consists of the ordinary conventions which give it the sense of practicality that I was hoping. When creating a cover magazine you want to make it as real as possible and by doing this I believe that I have skilled that. I experiential a lot of different conventions in tenure of design, images and style of address whereas analysing the cover magazines for my research. I establish that most mastheads are situated at the top of the page starting in the left hand corner.
This is the established and used the audience to make acquainted about themselves as they with the logo and typeface which helps them to indentify the cover magazine by the presentation and not the reproduction. The most cover magazines use straight style of attends to make the audience feel as if they are involved in this cover magazine and reason them to be haggard in. With the major themes looking directly out at the reader and the audience consequently undergo’s that there is something that they need to know, some details to find out.
However there are few cover magazines that I choose to have the theme looking away from the audience, this is known as indirect style of attend to. This is used to create the reader want to know more about this theme, reasoning them to read on. Although according to my research, indirect style of attend to is not as well-liked as straight, it is still as useful.
The magazine that I felt I would like to purchase were magazines such as: NME etc… So I decided to have a similar magazine to these. Following the clear conventions of music magazines, I have made many editorial decisions, such as the style of attend to of my themes, the colour theme, and the layout etc… The colours are neutral to encourage each gender to buy the magazine; this also makes the reader know that it is not directed at one specific gender. I used direct mode of address which would cause the reader to feel as though they are involved in the magazine contents. By putting all of these conventions together I have created a cover magazine which I could be proud of.
Magazine Covers analysis
Before creating a magazine I have to think about a figure of thing and the main thing that I have to do before thinking about creating my own magazine was to research a number of different magazines to ensure my understanding. Avril lavigne, Natasha Benfield, etc, and I researched a number of magazines; I did this through going to the shops and purchasing the magazines to gain more understanding of how a magazine is presented to the public and what it real includes. The research itself took a couple of days to complete as this was the first part of the main task I were able to gather my ideas quickly to what is needed in a magazine and how to present it to the public in the best way possible.
However as part of my task, I have to produce an album cover for my music video production. Therefore, to make a start on album covers I thought it would be creative and positive if I were to take three album different covers from my music genre and analyse them. The 2th artist of the CD I am analyzing is Ke$ha. The name of the CD is “Blah Blah Blah Blah!’ The name of the CD suggests that this is Ke$ha’s third album and that she is an established artist.
By doing this I will acquire inspiration for the album cover I am hoping to produce as I am hoping to develop an album cover which will directly catch the attention of all audiences. The album covers I decided to analyse is Natasha Bedingfield’s album ‘Unwritten’, Kasha’s album ‘blah blah blah’, and lastly, the artist I am following – Avril Lavigne’s album ‘anything But ordinary’.
Here are the analysis's I have made of the following album covers...
The name of the artist of the CD I am analyzing is Natasha Bedingfield. The name of the CD is “Unwritten!” The name of the CD suggests that this is Natasha’s first album and that she is an established artist.
The 2th artist of the CD I am analyzing is Ke$ha. The name of the CD is “Blah Blah Blah Blah!’ The name of the CD suggests that this is Ke$ha’s third.
The 3th artist of the CD I am analyzing is Avril lavigne. The name of the CD is “Anything But ordinary!’ The name of the CD suggests that this is Avril Lavigne’s Second album and that she is an established artist.
The 4th artist of the CD I am analyzing is Leona Lewis. The name of the CD is “I GOT YOU!’ The name of the CD suggests that this is Leona Lewis's album and that she is an established artist.
The magazines that I have researched were mainly pop/rock as their isn’t many punk or dance etc magazines available to the public. This is why I have decided on a whole to create a pop magazine as there isn’t any around and it would then fill in the missing gap within the market today.
the magzine cover I am Annotating Is Kerrange which is fammiler with the music genre that I have chosen. Although here is a sreenshot that I have taken while finish annotating the magazine cover.
the second magzine cover I am Annotating Is pop ! pop which is fammiler with the music genre that I have chosen. Although here is a sreenshot that I have taken while I've finish annotating the magazine cover.
The music genre for this artist is pop with a range of powers in metal, Rock music. Furthermore this is clear constant without listening to the music, since the music video connotes quite a gothic theme, especially since it is in black and white.
Magazine Covers
As part of one of my subsidiary tasks, I have to produce a magazine album cover for my music video production. Therefore, to make a start on album covers I thought it would be productive and constructive if I were to take more magazine covers from my music genre and analyse them. By doing this I will obtain inspiration for the magazine covers. In additional I am hoping to produce as I am hoping to develop a magazine cover which will straight catch the attention of all audiences. Although the magazine covers I decided to analyse isis Q, Matt Bellamy and ' Bliss', Jonas brothers
